In-Person Services: Here’s How It Works
At Village Pediatrics we make in-person services a breeze! Throughout the recent months we have made adjustments to the process of our in-person services while keeping you and your child first.
We want you to know that the in-person visit with your child’s pediatrician looks a little different than before the coronavirus.
Here’s everything you need to know before your child’s upcoming visit:
Operating hours. We see patients in-person Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. To schedule an in-office appointment, please text us at (469) 382-3796 or call our office at (214) 473-2200.
Visit procedures. At this time we only conduct in-person appointments for wellness checks and vaccinations until further notice. We can also see your child for non-emergency visits as long as they do not have symptoms of a fever, cough or sore throat.
You’ll receive a confirmation text. It will ask you for a photo of both sides of your insurance card so we can make your child’s check-in process fast and easy.
Note: If you’ve sent a photo of your insurance card recently, you don’t need to send another photo.
Appointment reminders. You’ll receive an appointment reminder five days and one day before your child’s appointment. The texts will remind you of your child’s appointment time and date as well as the pediatrician or nurse practitioner they will see. They will also ask you to bring a mask and provide other helpful information to make the appointment easier.
You’ll receive a text one hour before your appointment. We’re going to ask you some questions about COVID-19 symptoms to keep you, other patients and our team members safe. After answering those questions, you’ll receive a text with further instructions. Please make sure to respond using 1 or 2 for the first question and 3 or 4 for the second question.
Your car is the new waiting room! In an effort to keep you both safe and distanced away from others, we ask you to please remain in your car and wait comfortably when you arrive. When you arrive, please text “Arrived” to the same number you’ve been receiving texts from at (469) 382-3796 or call Village Pediatrics at (214) 473-2200 if you do not receive a response within 5 minutes. Please stay in your car until you receive a text confirming we are ready for you to come inside.
Please wear masks. At Village Pediatrics masks are required for both the parent and child ages 3 and older. In addition to your family’s health, we also want to protect other patients and our team members, so please wear a face covering!
Once you have been informed your room is ready. Please enter on the South entrance and head to suite 175. We ask that you please wait outside the entry doors. You will be met by a medical assistant at the front door entrance and a temperature will be taken for both the parent and the child. Once the COVID-19 pre-screening check is complete for parent and child, you will be taken back for your child’s visit.
All of these changes have been implemented to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Together, we can make sure this is safe for everyone.
